Relaunch Introduction Video

It’s with great pleasure and excitement that I can announce the relaunch of Starship Enterprisey. Many will remember the show as “Starship Enterprisey Radio”, the show launched last year at the SAP Sapphire Vienna event and it was me together with Thomas Otter. The show has a new home, a new look, new format and a new RSS feed, the focus hasn’t changed but many other aspects have - I’m equipped with some new equipment and ready to go.

OK - in the spirit of constructive critique:
1. sound needs a bit of attention, seems like there’s a good amount of his
2. the background is distracting - I kept thinking about the piano(?)
3. clues as to content. It’s obvious you’re excited but I want a reason to come back. I didn’t get that.
The background, you should see the other side of the room. I won’t often be producing from here but rather at events and in Walldorf itself but for the future when I do produce something here I will be sure to take care of the background issue. The sound I will work on as well due to an technical issue I ended up using a camera without a microphone but future shows will have an external mic in place so hopefully this will solve the sound issues.
As for content, the show will maintain the idea behind discovering and exploring the vision, strategy and future of SAP and it’s technologies - my goal is to interact with those inside of SAP that can answer those questions and I mean in detail and not surface level. My excitement in the video probably over shadowed that small statement - sorry about that.
I saw the “leader” done in animoto and then it ended without further content. Second attempt saw a few moments of video introduction but that ended abruptly. Hmm. Wonder if you are simultaneously updating.
Hi Marilyn, the video is complete already the post was made after it was updated and done. It’s not long perhaps 7 mins in total and several are watching it I see the views climbing perhaps it simply overloaded?
The return of Starship Enterprisey is great news.

Starhip II - the return of the Enterprisey! Great news. If I may leave a wish - just one little wish - than let it be all about technology - no executives, no management, no marketing. Let us hear about emerging technologies, trends in development and applications. And send the MIBs to Conventry!

What’s the difference between FMR and this show ?
SOme nice topics for the show :
- what will be the future of ABAP ? Or should we learn Java ?
- ABAP OO is promoted as the default way of programming, but for simple reports it’s much easier to build it in old-fashioned ABAP. It’s take too much time and thinking to set it up in a OO manner
